A handpicked collection of projects that showcase my approach to brand clarity, user experience, and compelling visual storytelling—design work rooted in strategy, simplicity, and intention.
To support ERC’s participation in World AIDS Day 2020, I created a cohesive digital campaign in collaboration with the Atlanta chapter of Delta Sigma Theta. The goal was to raise awareness, drive online engagement, and create a sense of empowerment during the first fully virtual event of its kind for ERC.
ERC had never hosted a fully virtual event before, and their existing design elements were inconsistent across platforms. This lack of visual cohesion weakened brand recognition and led to lower engagement. They needed a clear, unified visual identity that worked across both organizations’ social channels and could be quickly deployed.
Design a campaign that:
The final campaign included dozens of Instagram and Facebook posts featuring event reminders, HIV awareness facts, and calls to action. I was able to create
custom event posters that were optimized for multiple platforms as well as templates for future use. We were able to create
a unified visual identity that connected ERC's and Delta Sigma Theta's branding.
Visually, the campaign used bold typography, strong red accents (symbolic of HIV/AIDS awareness), and clean layouts designed for mobile consumption.
This project was my first professional social media design campaign, and it taught me:
McDonald Redesign
McDonald’s is an American fast-food chain known for delivering meals quickly and consistently for over 80 years. Its iconic golden arches, originally part of the restaurant’s architecture, have become a global cultural symbol. This project explores a “what if” scenario: What if McDonald’s positioned itself as a luxury dining brand instead of fast food?
McDonald's is universally recognized as approachable and affordable, not upscale. The design needed to balance familiarity with a new luxuious identity The golden arches had to remain iconic, but feel more refined.
To reimagine McDonald's visual identity in a way that conveys sophisticated, quality, and cultural resonance, while respecting the nostalgic elements of the brand.
1. Logo Evolution
2. Color Palette
The color palette pulls from the original design,
but with a much warmer red and gold color to signify elegance and exclusivity.
2. Typography
I chose a serif-typeface with clean lines that evoke a sense of luxury dining.
2. Real Applications
A collection of mockups from menu design, to packaging which were all updated to align with the luxe concept.
This project was my first professional social media design campaign, and it taught me:
90's Weather Forecast
This project is a fully functional weather application built with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a public weather API. The unique twist: instead of a modern UI, the app embraces a retro 90's aesthetic, complete with bright pastel gradients, and pixel-style UI elements that bring a nostaligic twist to the weather.
Many weather apps look generic, with minimal design differentiation.I needed to balance functionality (clear data, responsive layout) with a retro 90s aesthetic (bold colors, pixel fonts, playful graphics), all while ensuring the design feels nostalgic without sacrificing usability.
To combine technical skills in API integration and front-end development with a creative visual design. The objective was to deliver real-time weather data in a fun, engaging way that stands out from typical weather apps.
1. API Integration
2. UI & Retro Design
3. User Experience
The final design offers live, accurate weather updates in a UI that feels nostalgic and fun. By leaning into 90's web nostalgia, the app stands apart from stand weather apps, offering a functional tool that is wrapped in a visually exciting experience. While showcasing my experience in API calls, responsive CSS and DOM manipulation.
